LADIES LUNCH - CLIVEDEN HOUSE
Our Ladies Lunch was a huge success!
Over 50 elegantly dressed ladies came to Cliveden for a champagne reception followed by a delicious lunch and were treated to a superb speech by Jane Asher, an auction in which a signed pair of Darcey's Bussell's ballet shoes and tickets for Joseph were scooped up in no time and Ten Years Younger showed us how to dress according to our shape.
Our guests had a wonderful time and so did we, because we have raised £12,000 so far meaning that we are well on the way to funding our latest research.
The baby brothers and sisters of children already diagnosed with autism are at a far greater risk of developing the condition. Studying these children will help researchers to identify the earliest possible signs of autism and to develop interventions that begin at the earliest possible age. We have already raised £330K for this four-year project and need just £20.5K to complete the first year's funding, allowing work to begin.
All the money raised from the Ladies Lunch will go towards this vital research which holds out hope for those affected by a condition that currently causes distress to many thousands of families in the UK .
To everyone who came and to each one of our supporters and sponsors – a huge THANK YOU.
